Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Three works: Untitled by Philippe Perrot was auctioned at Phillips in New York in March 2012, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 7,000.00 – 9,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 2,188.00 (€ 1,640.92). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Philippe Perrot achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Ta mère in May 2008 with an auction result of EUR 72,250.00.
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Three works: Untitled von Philippe Perrot im März 2012 bei Phillips in New York versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 7.000,00 – 9.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 2.188,00 (€ 1.640,92) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Philippe Perrot erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Ta mère im Mai 2008 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von EUR 72.250,00.
