Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2000 Christies in London held the auction Fine Photographs, which included the work Albert Einstein, 1947, printed circa 1979 by Philippe Halsman. The price achieved of GBP 1,057.50 (€ 1,696.90) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 1,000.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Philippe Halsman achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work 'Marilyn Monroe Jumping' in April 2013 with an auction result of USD 100,000.00 (€ 75,941.68).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2000 führte Christies in London die Auktion Fine Photographs durch, in der auch die Arbeit Albert Einstein, 1947, printed circa 1979 von Philippe Halsman zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.057,50 (€ 1.696,90) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 1.000,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Philippe Halsman erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit 'Marilyn Monroe Jumping' im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 100.000,00 (€ 75.941,68).
