Auction result misses estimated price range
In March 2019 a collector was able to acquire the work The Glutton by Philip Evergood for USD 4,750.00 (€ 4,230.50). This price was achieved in the auction American Art at Sothebys in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00 set by the auction house. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Philip Evergood achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Dog Bite Clinic in May 2004 with an auction result of USD 71,700.00 (€ 58,688.71).
