Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Philip Evergood could be acquired at Sothebys in New York in March 2019 for an unexpectedly low price. In the American Art auction, the work Man With Horn changed hands for USD 8,125.00 (€ 7,236.37) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 12,000.00 – 18,000.00. Admittedly, works by Philip Evergood have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Dog Bite Clinic in May 2004 with an auction result of USD 71,700.00 (€ 58,688.71).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Philip Evergood konnte im März 2019 bei Sothebys in New York für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion American Art wechselte die Arbeit Man With Horn für USD 8.125,00 (€ 7.236,37) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 12.000,00 – 18.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Philip Evergood auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Dog Bite Clinic im Mai 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 71.700,00 (€ 58.688,71).
