Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Portrait of a Child with a Steiff Lion by Philip Alexius de László was auctioned at Sothebys in London in July 2021. The price achieved of GBP 17,640.00 (€ 20,686.56) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 15,000.00 – 20,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Philip Alexius de László achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Mrs Adrian van Montagu, née Anne Mabel Olivia Trouton in December 2019 with an auction result of GBP 275,000.00 (€ 325,017.81).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Portrait of a Child with a Steiff Lion von Philip Alexius de László kam im Juli 2021 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 17.640,00 (€ 20.686,56) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 15.000,00 – 20.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Philip Alexius de László erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Mrs Adrian van Montagu, née Anne Mabel Olivia Trouton im Dezember 2019 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 275.000,00 (€ 325.017,81).
