Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Rosemary's Baby, 2008 diameter: 42.0cm by Petrina Hicks was auctioned at Bonhams in Sidney in June last year, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of AUD 800.00 – 1,200.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for AUD 738.00 (€ 704.94). Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Petrina Hicks achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Shanae and Jade, 2005 (image size) in April this year with an auction result of AUD 39,360.00 (€ 23,591.04).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Rosemary's Baby, 2008 diameter: 42.0cm von Petrina Hicks im Juni letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Sidney versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von AUD 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für AUD 738,00 (€ 704,94) den Besitzer. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Petrina Hicks erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Shanae and Jade, 2005 (image size) im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 39.360,00 (€ 23.591,04).
