Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Petrina Hicks could be acquired at Bonhams in Sidney in June last year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Sherman | Prints & Multiples auction, the work Eye Candy, 2008 diameter: 42.0cm changed hands for AUD 738.00 (€ 704.94) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of AUD 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Petrina Hicks achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Shanae and Jade, 2005 (image size) in April this year with an auction result of AUD 39,360.00 (€ 23,591.04).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Petrina Hicks konnte im Juni letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Sidney für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Sherman | Prints & Multiples wechselte die Arbeit Eye Candy, 2008 diameter: 42.0cm für AUD 738,00 (€ 704,94) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von AUD 800,00 – 1.200,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Petrina Hicks erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Shanae and Jade, 2005 (image size) im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 39.360,00 (€ 23.591,04).
