In June last year Bonhams in Sidney held the auction Sherman | Prints & Multiples, which included the work Rattlesnake Blues, 2016 by Petrina Hicks. The »bidding war« ended at AUD 1,845.00 (€ 1,762.35), 54% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Petrina Hicks achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Shanae and Jade, 2005 (image size) in April this year with an auction result of AUD 39,360.00 (€ 23,591.04).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 54 % übertroffen
Im Juni letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Sidney die Auktion Sherman | Prints & Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit Rattlesnake Blues, 2016 von Petrina Hicks zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von AUD 1.845,00 (€ 1.762,35) und damit 54% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Petrina Hicks erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Shanae and Jade, 2005 (image size) im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 39.360,00 (€ 23.591,04).
