This artwork by Petrina Hicks achieved an unexpectedly high price at Bonhams in Sidney in June last year. In the Sherman | Prints & Multiples auction, the work Serpentina II, 2015 sold for AUD 3,444.00 (€ 3,289.71) - well above the upper estimate of AUD 1,200.00. Admittedly, works by Petrina Hicks have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Shanae and Jade, 2005 (image size) in April this year with an auction result of AUD 39,360.00 (€ 23,591.04).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Petrina Hicks erzielte im Juni letzten Jahres bei Bonhams in Sidney einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Sherman | Prints & Multiples wurde die Arbeit Serpentina II, 2015 für AUD 3.444,00 (€ 3.289,71) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von AUD 1.200,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Petrina Hicks auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Shanae and Jade, 2005 (image size) im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 39.360,00 (€ 23.591,04).
