Auction result well in line with expectations
In June last year Bonhams in Sidney held the auction Sherman | Prints & Multiples, which included the work Lauren (Eyes Closed), 2005 by Petrina Hicks. The price achieved of AUD 984.00 (€ 939.92) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 800.00 – 1,200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Petrina Hicks achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Shanae and Jade, 2005 (image size) in April this year with an auction result of AUD 39,360.00 (€ 23,591.04).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni letzten Jahres führte Bonhams in Sidney die Auktion Sherman | Prints & Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit Lauren (Eyes Closed), 2005 von Petrina Hicks zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 984,00 (€ 939,92) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Petrina Hicks erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Shanae and Jade, 2005 (image size) im April diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 39.360,00 (€ 23.591,04).
