This artwork by Petr Vereshchagin achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in November 2007. In the Important Russian Pictures auction, the work View of the Peter-Paul Fortress and the Stock Exchange, St Petersburg sold for GBP 108,500.00 (€ 151,928.07) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 45,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Petr Vereshchagin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work View Of Palace Square, St Petersburg, which sold at auction in June 2013 for GBP 506,500.00 (€ 591,176.21).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Petr Vereshchagin erzielte im November 2007 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Important Russian Pictures wurde die Arbeit View of the Peter-Paul Fortress and the Stock Exchange, St Petersburg für GBP 108.500,00 (€ 151.928,07) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 45.000,00.
