This artwork by Petr Vereshchagin achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in November 2007. In the Important Russian Pictures auction, the work View of the Peter-Paul Fortress and the Stock Exchange, St Petersburg sold for GBP 108,500.00 (€ 151,928.07) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 45,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Petr Vereshchagin - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work View Of Palace Square, St Petersburg, which sold at auction in June 2013 for GBP 506,500.00 (€ 591,176.21).
Oberer Schätzpreis um mehr als 100% übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Petr Vereshchagin erzielte im November 2007 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Important Russian Pictures wurde die Arbeit View of the Peter-Paul Fortress and the Stock Exchange, St Petersburg für GBP 108.500,00 (€ 151.928,07) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 45.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Petr Vereshchagin mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit View Of Palace Square, St Petersburg beobachtet, die im Juni 2013 für GBP 506.500,00 (€ 591.176,21) versteigert wurde.
