Auction result well in line with expectations

The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 300,000.00 – 500,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 314,500.00 (€ 378,458.66) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Petr Vereshchagin have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in June 2013 the work View Of Palace Square, St Petersburg was auctioned for GBP 506,500.00 (€ 591,176.21).
