Auction result well in line with expectations
The work The Volga by Petr Vereshchagin was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2017. The price achieved of GBP 24,375.00 (€ 27,669.25) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 20,000.00 – 30,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Petr Vereshchagin achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work View Of Palace Square, St Petersburg in June 2013 with an auction result of GBP 506,500.00 (€ 591,176.21).

Die Arbeit The Volga von Petr Vereshchagin kam im November 2017 bei Sothebys in London zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 24.375,00 (€ 27.669,25) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 20.000,00 – 30.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Petr Vereshchagin erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit View Of Palace Square, St Petersburg im Juni 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 506.500,00 (€ 591.176,21).
