Auction result misses estimated price range
In December 2018 a collector was able to acquire the work Solitude/Shadowbox/Vagabond/Silver Screen by Peter Wegner for USD 2,500.00 (€ 2,182.26). This price was achieved in the auction First Open Online: Post-War and Contemporary Art at Christies in New York and was even below the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00 set by the auction house. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Peter Wegner - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work 25 Blues/25 Nights, which sold at auction in September 2011 for USD 10,625.00 (€ 7,900.22).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Im Dezember 2018 konnte ein Sammler die Arbeit Solitude/Shadowbox/Vagabond/Silver Screen von Peter Wegner für USD 2.500,00 (€ 2.182,26) erwerben. Dieser Preis wurde in der Auktion First Open Online: Post-War and Contemporary Art bei Christies in New York erzielt und lag noch unterhalb der von dem Auktionshaus angesetzten Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Peter Wegner mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit 25 Blues/25 Nights beobachtet, die im September 2011 für USD 10.625,00 (€ 7.900,22) versteigert wurde.
