Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Cloudy Day/Cloudy Day/Cloudy Day/Cloudy Day by Peter Wegner was auctioned at Phillips in an online auction in December 2018, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 5,313.00 (€ 4,637.74). Other works by Peter Wegner have also sold for higher prices; the highest price we have seen at auction so far was achieved in September 2011 by the work 25 Blues/25 Nights at USD 10,625.00 (€ 7,900.22).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Cloudy Day/Cloudy Day/Cloudy Day/Cloudy Day von Peter Wegner im Dezember 2018 bei Phillips in einer Online-Auktion versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 5.313,00 (€ 4.637,74) den Besitzer. Andere Arbeiten von Peter Wegner wurden auch schon teurer gehandelt; den höchsten Preis, den wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachten konnten, erzielte im September 2011 die Arbeit 25 Blues/25 Nights mit USD 10.625,00 (€ 7.900,22).
