Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled (Go Naked) by Peter Tunney was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in October 2021. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 4,410.00 (€ 3,817.52) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Admittedly, works by Peter Tunney have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work WTF (Whiskey Tango Foxtrot) in March 2013 with an auction result of USD 37,500.00 (€ 29,260.30).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled (Go Naked) von Peter Tunney kam im Oktober 2021 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 4.410,00 (€ 3.817,52) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Peter Tunney auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit WTF (Whiskey Tango Foxtrot) im März 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 37.500,00 (€ 29.260,30).
