Auction result well in line with expectations
In October last year Christies in London held the auction Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale, which included the work Sea Captain by Peter Schuyff. It changed hands for a price of GBP 4,788.00 (€ 5,577.97) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Peter Schuyff have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in July 2017 with an auction result of USD 56,250.00 (€ 47,564.69).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Oktober letzten Jahres führte Christies in London die Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit Sea Captain von Peter Schuyff zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 4.788,00 (€ 5.577,97) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Peter Schuyff auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im Juli 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 56.250,00 (€ 47.564,69).
