Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Blue Mountains 5Am (Mist, 3 Sisters And Red Clouds) by Peter Michael Thomas Atkins was sold in the AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL & CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS auction at Christies in Melbourne in November 2005. The price achieved of AUD 4,541.00 (€ 2,847.85) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 3,500.00 – 5,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Peter Michael Thomas Atkins - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Figures from the Whalers Washing Shrine, which sold at auction in August 2005 for AUD 10,157.50 (€ 6,190.06).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Blue Mountains 5Am (Mist, 3 Sisters And Red Clouds) von Peter Michael Thomas Atkins wurde im November 2005 in der Auktion AUSTRALIAN, INTERNATIONAL & CONTEMPORARY PAINTINGS bei Christies in Melbourne versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 4.541,00 (€ 2.847,85) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 3.500,00 – 5.500,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Peter Michael Thomas Atkins mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Figures from the Whalers Washing Shrine beobachtet, die im August 2005 für AUD 10.157,50 (€ 6.190,06) versteigert wurde.
