Auction result well in line with expectations
In April 2001 Christies in Melbourne held the auction CONTEMPORARY ART, which included the work Flask by Peter Michael Thomas Atkins. The price achieved of AUD 9,400.00 (€ 5,398.06) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. Other works by Peter Michael Thomas Atkins have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in August 2005 the work Figures from the Whalers Washing Shrine was auctioned for AUD 10,157.50 (€ 6,190.06).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im April 2001 führte Christies in Melbourne die Auktion CONTEMPORARY ART durch, in der auch die Arbeit Flask von Peter Michael Thomas Atkins zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 9.400,00 (€ 5.398,06) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Andere Arbeiten von Peter Michael Thomas Atkins konnten bereits höhere Auktionspreise erzielen, so wurde im August 2005 die Arbeit Figures from the Whalers Washing Shrine für AUD 10.157,50 (€ 6.190,06) versteigert.
