Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
This work without title by Peter Michael Thomas Atkins was sold in the CONTEMPORARY ART auction at Christies in Sydney in August 2001. Here, the upper estimate of AUD 1,500.00 was slightly exceeded - the artwork found a new owner for AUD 1,645.00 (€ 954.97). Admittedly, works by Peter Michael Thomas Atkins have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Figures from the Whalers Washing Shrine in August 2005 with an auction result of AUD 10,157.50 (€ 6,190.06).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Peter Michael Thomas Atkins wurde im August 2001 in der Auktion CONTEMPORARY ART bei Christies in Sydney versteigert. Dabei wurde der obere Schätzpreis von AUD 1.500,00 leicht übertroffen – das Kunstwerk fand für AUD 1.645,00 (€ 954,97) einen neuen Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Peter Michael Thomas Atkins auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Figures from the Whalers Washing Shrine im August 2005 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 10.157,50 (€ 6.190,06).
