The work Field Landing by Peter Lanyon was sold in the 20th Century British Art auction at Sothebys in London in July 2007. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 26,400.00 (€ 39,210.09), 32% above the upper estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Peter Lanyon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Orpheus in November 2018 with an auction result of GBP 1,268,750.00 (€ 1,431,111.45).

Die Arbeit Field Landing von Peter Lanyon wurde im Juli 2007 in der Auktion 20th Century British Art bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 26.400,00 (€ 39.210,09) und damit 32% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Peter Lanyon erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Orpheus im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.268.750,00 (€ 1.431.111,45).
