Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Carn Euny by Peter Lanyon was auctioned at Christies in New York in October this year. The price achieved of GBP 12,600.00 (€ 14,468.30) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 10,000.00 – 15,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Peter Lanyon achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Orpheus in November 2018 with an auction result of GBP 1,268,750.00 (€ 1,431,111.45).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Carn Euny von Peter Lanyon kam im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Christies in New York zur Auktion. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 12.600,00 (€ 14.468,30) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 10.000,00 – 15.000,00 angegeben worden. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Peter Lanyon erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Orpheus im November 2018 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 1.268.750,00 (€ 1.431.111,45).
