This artwork by Peter Hobbs achieved an unexpectedly high price at Sothebys in London in September 2018. In the Made in Britain auction, the work Object sold for GBP 1,375.00 (€ 1,544.30) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 700.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Peter Hobbs - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work North Of Metaphysics, which sold at auction in November 2014 for GBP 4,375.00 (€ 5,500.58).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 96 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Peter Hobbs erzielte im September 2018 bei Sothebys in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Made in Britain wurde die Arbeit Object für GBP 1.375,00 (€ 1.544,30) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 700,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Peter Hobbs mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit North Of Metaphysics beobachtet, die im November 2014 für GBP 4.375,00 (€ 5.500,58) versteigert wurde.
