Despite a disappointment, a good price for Peter Hobbs
When the work North Of Metaphysics by Peter Hobbs was auctioned at Sothebys in London in November 2014, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of GBP 6,000.00 – 8,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for GBP 4,375.00 (€ 5,500.58). Despite this disappointing result, North Of Metaphysics is the most expensive artwork by Peter Hobbs that we have observed at auction so far.
Trotz Enttäuschung ein guter Preis für Peter Hobbs
Als die Arbeit North Of Metaphysics von Peter Hobbs im November 2014 bei Sothebys in London versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 6.000,00 – 8.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für GBP 4.375,00 (€ 5.500,58) den Besitzer. Trotz dieses enttäuschenden Ergebnisses ist North Of Metaphysics das teuerste Kunstwerk von Peter Hobbs, das wir bisher bei Auktionen beobachtet haben.
