Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Peter Hobbs could be acquired at Christies in London in May 2005 for an unexpectedly low price. In the British Prints 1850-2004 auction, the work a collection of four lithographs and five screenprints, 1965-66, on wove paper, each signed in pencil, the full sheets, in varying conditions but generally in good condition changed hands for GBP 60.00 (€ 88.58) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of GBP 100.00 – 200.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Peter Hobbs achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work North Of Metaphysics in November 2014 with an auction result of GBP 4,375.00 (€ 5,500.58).
In der Auktion British Prints 1850-2004 wechselte die Arbeit a collection of four lithographs and five screenprints, 1965-66, on wove paper, each signed in pencil, the full sheets, in varying conditions but generally in good condition für GBP 60,00 (€ 88,58) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 100,00 – 200,00.
