Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2004 Christies in London held the auction Irish and 20th Century British Art, which included the work Road to Lough by Peter Collis. The price achieved of GBP 1,015.75 (€ 1,524.00) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 800.00 – 1,200.00. Admittedly, works by Peter Collis have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Still life with fruit in May 2004 with an auction result of GBP 6,572.50 (€ 9,861.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2004 führte Christies in London die Auktion Irish and 20th Century British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Road to Lough von Peter Collis zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 1.015,75 (€ 1.524,00) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 800,00 – 1.200,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Peter Collis auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Still life with fruit im Mai 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.572,50 (€ 9.861,17).
