Auction result well in line with expectations
In May 2004 Christies in London held the auction Irish and 20th Century British Art, which included the work Snow at Glencar by Peter Collis. The price achieved of GBP 2,868.00 (€ 4,303.06) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 2,500.00 – 3,500.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Peter Collis - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Still life with fruit, which sold at auction in May 2004 for GBP 6,572.50 (€ 9,861.17).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Mai 2004 führte Christies in London die Auktion Irish and 20th Century British Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Snow at Glencar von Peter Collis zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 2.868,00 (€ 4.303,06) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 2.500,00 – 3.500,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Peter Collis mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Still life with fruit beobachtet, die im Mai 2004 für GBP 6.572,50 (€ 9.861,17) versteigert wurde.
