This artwork by Peter Collis achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in London in August 2006. In the 20th Century British Art auction, the work Mountain Road sold for GBP 1,200.00 (€ 1,784.48) - well above the upper estimate of GBP 600.00. Admittedly, works by Peter Collis have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Still life with fruit in May 2004 with an auction result of GBP 6,572.50 (€ 9,861.17).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Peter Collis erzielte im August 2006 bei Christies in London einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion 20th Century British Art wurde die Arbeit Mountain Road für GBP 1.200,00 (€ 1.784,48) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von GBP 600,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Peter Collis auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Still life with fruit im Mai 2004 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 6.572,50 (€ 9.861,17).
