Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Cottages by Peter Collis was sold in the The Irish Sale auction at Christies in London in May 2008. The »bidding war« ended at GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,452.15), 17% above the upper estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Peter Collis - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Still life with fruit, which sold at auction in May 2004 for GBP 6,572.50 (€ 9,861.17).

Die Arbeit Cottages von Peter Collis wurde im Mai 2008 in der Auktion The Irish Sale bei Christies in London versteigert. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von GBP 3.500,00 (€ 4.452,15) und damit 17% über dem oberen Schätzpreis. Für andere Arbeiten von Peter Collis mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Still life with fruit beobachtet, die im Mai 2004 für GBP 6.572,50 (€ 9.861,17) versteigert wurde.
