This artwork by Perle Fine achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in November 2011. In the Post-War and Contemporary Art Session II auction, the work Midnight sold for USD 11,250.00 (€ 8,362.45) - well above the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00. Admittedly, works by Perle Fine have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work The Far Side of a Thought in September this year with an auction result of USD 50,400.00 (€ 47,619.05).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Perle Fine erzielte im November 2011 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Post-War and Contemporary Art Session II wurde die Arbeit Midnight für USD 11.250,00 (€ 8.362,45) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Perle Fine auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit The Far Side of a Thought im September diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 50.400,00 (€ 47.619,05).
