It achieved a price of AUD 52,800.00 (€ 31,806.54), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 32%. Admittedly, works by Penleigh Boyd have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Australian Ghost Gum At Kangaroo Flat in August 2007 with an auction result of AUD 264,000.00 (€ 157,865.85).

Die Arbeit Australian Yarra Valley Landscape von Penleigh Boyd kam im November 2007 bei Sothebys in Sydney zur Auktion. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von AUD 52.800,00 (€ 31.806,54) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 32%. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Penleigh Boyd auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Australian Ghost Gum At Kangaroo Flat im August 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 264.000,00 (€ 157.865,85).
