Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2007 Sothebys in Sydney held the auction Important Australian Art, which included the work Australian Landscape With Cattle And Farm Buildings by Penleigh Boyd. The price achieved of AUD 55,200.00 (€ 33,252.29) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as AUD 50,000.00 – 70,000.00. Admittedly, works by Penleigh Boyd have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Australian Ghost Gum At Kangaroo Flat in August 2007 with an auction result of AUD 264,000.00 (€ 157,865.85).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im November 2007 führte Sothebys in Sydney die Auktion Important Australian Art durch, in der auch die Arbeit Australian Landscape With Cattle And Farm Buildings von Penleigh Boyd zur Versteigerung kam. Der dabei erzielte Preis von AUD 55.200,00 (€ 33.252,29) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit AUD 50.000,00 – 70.000,00 angegeben worden. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Penleigh Boyd auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Australian Ghost Gum At Kangaroo Flat im August 2007 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von AUD 264.000,00 (€ 157.865,85).
