Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Bathing Horse by Peng Wei was sold in the Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) auction at Christies in Hong Kong in November 2017. It changed hands for a price of HKD 275,000.00 (€ 29,607.92) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of HKD 200,000.00 – 300,000.00. Admittedly, works by Peng Wei have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Reunion Of The Lost Stones At Gen Yue in April 2017 with an auction result of HKD 2,242,000.00 (€ 264,636.26).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Bathing Horse von Peng Wei wurde im November 2017 in der Auktion Asian Contemporary Art (Day Sale) bei Christies in Hong Kong versteigert. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von HKD 275.000,00 (€ 29.607,92) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von HKD 200.000,00 – 300.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Peng Wei auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Reunion Of The Lost Stones At Gen Yue im April 2017 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von HKD 2.242.000,00 (€ 264.636,26).
