Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2020 Sothebys in New York held the auction Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale, which included the work El Escondido by Pedro Figari. It changed hands for a price of USD 56,250.00 (€ 50,084.59) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of USD 40,000.00 – 60,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Pedro Figari - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Baile Criollo, which sold at auction in May 2011 for USD 146,500.00 (€ 101,905.95).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2020 führte Sothebys in New York die Auktion Impressionist & Modern Art Day Sale durch, in der auch die Arbeit El Escondido von Pedro Figari zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von USD 56.250,00 (€ 50.084,59) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 40.000,00 – 60.000,00. Für andere Arbeiten von Pedro Figari mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Baile Criollo beobachtet, die im Mai 2011 für USD 146.500,00 (€ 101.905,95) versteigert wurde.
