This artwork by Paul Vernon achieved an unexpectedly high price at VAN HAM in May 2016. In the Alte Kunst auction, the work Vieh an der Flusstränke sold for EUR 5,160.00 - well above the estimate of EUR 2,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Paul Vernon; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Outside the City Walls, Algiers sold at auction in April 2007 with the realized price of USD 9,000.00 (€ 6,588.58).

In der Auktion Alte Kunst wurde die Arbeit Vieh an der Flusstränke für EUR 5.160,00 versteigert – und damit weit über dem Schätzpreis von EUR 2.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Paul Vernon; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Outside the City Walls, Algiers im April 2007 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 9.000,00 (€ 6.588,58).
