In November 2016 VAN HAM held the auction Alte Kunst, which included the work Wäscherinnen am Dorfbach by Paul Vernon. The »bidding war« ended at EUR 3,870.00 55% above the estimate. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Paul Vernon; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Outside the City Walls, Algiers sold at auction in April 2007 with the realized price of USD 9,000.00 (€ 6,588.58).

Im November 2016 führte VAN HAM die Auktion Alte Kunst durch, in der auch die Arbeit Wäscherinnen am Dorfbach von Paul Vernon zur Versteigerung kam. Das »Bietergefecht« endete beim Preis von EUR 3.870,00 und damit 55% über dem Schätzpreis. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Paul Vernon; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Outside the City Walls, Algiers im April 2007 mit dem Hammerpreis von USD 9.000,00 (€ 6.588,58).
