Artwork auctioned at six times the upper estimate price
The work Untitled | Sans Titre by Paul Thek was worth EUR 123,480.00 to a buyer in March last year. This price was achieved in the auction Collection André Mourgues, Alexandre Iolas et ses artistes at Sothebys in Paris and exceeded the previously set upper estimate of EUR 20,000.00 many times over. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Paul Thek; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Untitled (five works on newspaper) sold at auction in October 2018 with the realized price of EUR 175,000.00.

Die Arbeit Untitled | Sans Titre von Paul Thek war einem Käufer im März letzten Jahres EUR 123.480,00 wert. Dieser Preise wurde in der Auktion Collection André Mourgues, Alexandre Iolas et ses artistes bei Sothebys in Paris erzielt und übertraf den zuvor angesetzten oberen Schätzpreis von EUR 20.000,00 um ein Vielfaches. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Paul Thek; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Untitled (five works on newspaper) im Oktober 2018 mit dem Hammerpreis von EUR 175.000,00.
