Auction result well in line with expectations
The work 'Rebecca' by Paul Strand was auctioned at Sothebys in New York in April 2008. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 600,000.00 – 900,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 645,800.00 (€ 414,825.28) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Other works by Paul Strand have already achieved higher auction prices, for example, in April 2013 the work Akeley Motion Picture Camera, New York, 1922 was auctioned for USD 783,750.00 (€ 595,192.89).

Die Arbeit 'Rebecca' von Paul Strand kam im April 2008 bei Sothebys in New York zur Auktion. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 600.000,00 – 900.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 645.800,00 (€ 414.825,28) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen.
