Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work White Fence by Paul Strand was sold in the Prints & Photographs auction at Bonhams in Skinner Boston in January 2024. It achieved a price of USD 704.00 (€ 615.28), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Strand achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Akeley Motion Picture Camera, New York, 1922 in April 2013 with an auction result of USD 783,750.00 (€ 595,192.89).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit White Fence von Paul Strand wurde im Januar 2024 in der Auktion Prints & Photographs bei Bonhams in Skinner Boston versteigert. Sie erzielte dabei einen Preis von USD 704,00 (€ 615,28) und übertraf damit das obere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne um 17%. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paul Strand erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Akeley Motion Picture Camera, New York, 1922 im April 2013 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 783.750,00 (€ 595.192,89).
