Auction result well in line with expectations
This work without title by Paul P. was sold in the Contemporary Art Part II auction at Phillips in New York in May 2010. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00, the actual price achieved of USD 4,375.00 (€ 3,537.07) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Paul P. - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work without title, which sold at auction in March this year for GBP 10,080.00 (€ 11,467.95).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Diese Arbeit ohne Titel von Paul P. wurde im Mai 2010 in der Auktion Contemporary Art Part II bei Phillips in New York versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 4.375,00 (€ 3.537,07) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Paul P. mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit ohne Titel beobachtet, die im März diesen Jahres für GBP 10.080,00 (€ 11.467,95) versteigert wurde.
