Auction result misses estimated price range
When the work Untitled No. 10 by Paul P. was auctioned at Phillips in an online auction in February 2020, the result was somewhat disappointing. The auction house had previously given the estimated price as a range of USD 2,000.00 – 3,000.00, of which not even the lower limit was reached - in fact, the artwork changed hands for USD 1,875.00 (€ 1,700.68). Admittedly, works by Paul P. have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work without title in March this year with an auction result of GBP 10,080.00 (€ 11,467.95).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Als die Arbeit Untitled No. 10 von Paul P. im Februar 2020 bei Phillips in einer Online-Auktion versteigert wurde, fiel das Ergebnis ein wenig enttäuschend aus. Das Auktionshaus hatte den Schätzpreis zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 2.000,00 – 3.000,00 angegeben, von der nicht einmal die Untergrenze erreicht wurde - tatsächlich wechselte das Kunstwerk für USD 1.875,00 (€ 1.700,68) den Besitzer. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Paul P. auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit ohne Titel im März diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 10.080,00 (€ 11.467,95).
