This artwork by Paul Morrison achieved an unexpectedly high price at Phillips in New York in March 2009. In the Under The Influence auction, the work Midnight sold for USD 8,750.00 (€ 6,598.30) - well above the upper estimate of USD 4,500.00. Admittedly, works by Paul Morrison have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Protoplasm in June 2006 with an auction result of GBP 26,400.00 (€ 38,200.36).
Oberer Schätzpreis um 94 % übertroffen
Dieses Kunstwerk von Paul Morrison erzielte im März 2009 bei Phillips in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Under The Influence wurde die Arbeit Midnight für USD 8.750,00 (€ 6.598,30) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 4.500,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Paul Morrison auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Protoplasm im Juni 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 26.400,00 (€ 38.200,36).
