Upper estimated price slightly exceeded
The work Two illustrations from E.T.A. Hoffmann's 'The Golden Pot' by Paul Mak was sold in the Russian Art auction at Christies in London in June 2018. It achieved a price of GBP 1,750.00 (€ 1,977.80), exceeding the upper end of the estimate range by 17%. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Mak achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Schéhérazade With A Peacock in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 28,800.00 (€ 42,768.90).
Oberer Schätzpreis leicht übertroffen
Die Arbeit Two illustrations from E.T.A.
