Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Annunciation by Paul Mak was sold in the Russian Pictures auction at Sothebys in London in June 2016. The price achieved of GBP 9,375.00 (€ 11,253.06) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Paul Mak - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Schéhérazade With A Peacock, which sold at auction in November 2006 for GBP 28,800.00 (€ 42,768.90).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Annunciation von Paul Mak wurde im Juni 2016 in der Auktion Russian Pictures bei Sothebys in London versteigert. Der dabei erzielte Preis von GBP 9.375,00 (€ 11.253,06) lag im Rahmen der Erwartungen – die Schätzpreisspanne war von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit GBP 8.000,00 – 12.000,00 angegeben worden. Für andere Arbeiten von Paul Mak mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Schéhérazade With A Peacock beobachtet, die im November 2006 für GBP 28.800,00 (€ 42.768,90) versteigert wurde.
