Auction result well in line with expectations
In June 2015 Sothebys in London held the auction Russian Pictures, which included the work Falconer by Paul Mak. It changed hands for a price of GBP 6,875.00 (€ 9,693.66) achieving a result in the upper range of the estimate price range of GBP 5,000.00 – 7,000.00. Admittedly, works by Paul Mak have also been auctioned for a multiple of this price - according to our records, the highest result so far was achieved by the work Schéhérazade With A Peacock in November 2006 with an auction result of GBP 28,800.00 (€ 42,768.90).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Juni 2015 führte Sothebys in London die Auktion Russian Pictures durch, in der auch die Arbeit Falconer von Paul Mak zur Versteigerung kam. Dabei wechselte sie für einen Preis von GBP 6.875,00 (€ 9.693,66) den Besitzer und erzielte damit ein Ergebnis im oberen Bereich der Schätzpreisspanne von GBP 5.000,00 – 7.000,00. Freilich wurden Arbeiten von Paul Mak auch schon für ein Vielfaches dieses Preises versteigert – das bisher höchste Ergebnis erzielte nach unseren Aufzeichnungen die Arbeit Schéhérazade With A Peacock im November 2006 mit einem Auktionsergebnis von GBP 28.800,00 (€ 42.768,90).
