Auction result well in line with expectations
In November 2015 Christies in London held the auction Russian Art, which included the work A Concubine With A Hand Mirror by Paul Mak. The price achieved of GBP 10,625.00 (€ 15,133.73) was within expectations - the estimate range had previously been set by the auction house as GBP 8,000.00 – 12,000.00. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Paul Mak - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Schéhérazade With A Peacock, which sold at auction in November 2006 for GBP 28,800.00 (€ 42,768.90).
