Auction result well in line with expectations
In January 2024 Bonhams in Los Angeles held the auction Prints & Multiples, which included the work Children's Carnival by Paul Landacre. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of USD 1,000.00 – 1,500.00, the actual price achieved of USD 1,088.00 (€ 950.88) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Landacre achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work The Press in August this year with an auction result of USD 25,200.00 (€ 23,249.38).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Im Januar 2024 führte Bonhams in Los Angeles die Auktion Prints & Multiples durch, in der auch die Arbeit Children's Carnival von Paul Landacre zur Versteigerung kam. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von USD 1.000,00 – 1.500,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von USD 1.088,00 (€ 950,88) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paul Landacre erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit The Press im August diesen Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 25.200,00 (€ 23.249,38).
