Auction result misses estimated price range
This work of art by Paul Klee could be acquired at Bonhams in Paris in October this year for an unexpectedly low price. In the Modern & Contemporary Prints & Multiples auction, the work Garten de Leidenschaft (Garden of Passion) changed hands for USD 3,200.00 (€ 3,028.01) - missing the lower end of the estimate range of USD 4,000.00 – 6,000.00. Of course, this price has nothing to do with the top prices that other works by Paul Klee achieve. The highest price we have observed so far was reached by the work Bunte Landschaft in November last year with an auction result of USD 4,860,000.00 (€ 4,707,933.74).
Auktionsergebnis verfehlt die Schätzpreisspanne
Dieses Kunstwerk von Paul Klee konnte im Oktober diesen Jahres bei Bonhams in Paris für einen unerwartet niedrigen Preis ersteigert werden. In der Auktion Modern & Contemporary Prints & Multiples wechselte die Arbeit Garten de Leidenschaft (Garden of Passion) für USD 3.200,00 (€ 3.028,01) den Besitzer – und verfehlte damit das untere Ende der Schätzpreisspanne von USD 4.000,00 – 6.000,00. Dieser Preis hat freilich nichts mit den Spitzenpreisen zu tun, die andere Arbeiten von Paul Klee erzielen. Den höchsten von uns bisher beobachteten Preis erreichte die Arbeit Bunte Landschaft im November letzten Jahres mit einem Auktionsergebnis von USD 4.860.000,00 (€ 4.707.933,74).
