This artwork by Paul Huxley achieved an unexpectedly high price at Christies in New York in July 2008. In the Christie's Interiors auction, the work Duo sold for USD 10,625.00 (€ 6,815.70) - well above the upper estimate of USD 5,000.00. Despite this good result, it is not the highest hammer price for an artwork by Paul Huxley; that achieved among the auctions we observed the lot Untitled No.5 sold at auction in December 2007 with the realized price of GBP 9,375.00 (€ 12,739.03).

Dieses Kunstwerk von Paul Huxley erzielte im Juli 2008 bei Christies in New York einen unerwartet hohen Preis. In der Auktion Christie's Interiors wurde die Arbeit Duo für USD 10.625,00 (€ 6.815,70) versteigert – und damit weit über dem oberen Schätzpreis von USD 5.000,00. Trotz des guten Ergebnisses ist dies nicht der höchste Zuschlag für ein Kunstwerk von Paul Huxley; den erzielte unter den von uns beobachteten Auktionen die Arbeit Untitled No.5 im Dezember 2007 mit dem Hammerpreis von GBP 9.375,00 (€ 12.739,03).
