Auction result well in line with expectations
The work Untitled No.87 by Paul Huxley was sold in the 20th Century British Art auction at Christies in London in March 2012. The estimated price for the artwork was previously given by the auction house with a range of GBP 3,000.00 – 5,000.00, the actual price achieved of GBP 3,500.00 (€ 4,195.85) could thus just exceed the lower estimate. However, buyers have had to dig much deeper into their pockets for other works by Paul Huxley - we have observed the highest auction result to date for the work Untitled No.5, which sold at auction in December 2007 for GBP 9,375.00 (€ 12,739.03).
Auktionsergebnis im Rahmen der Erwartungen
Die Arbeit Untitled No.87 von Paul Huxley wurde im März 2012 in der Auktion 20th Century British Art bei Christies in London versteigert. Der Schätzpreis für das Kunstwerk wurde von dem Auktionshaus zuvor mit einer Spanne von GBP 3.000,00 – 5.000,00 angegeben, der tatsächlich erzielte Preis von GBP 3.500,00 (€ 4.195,85) konnte den unteren Schätzpreis somit knapp übertreffen. Für andere Arbeiten von Paul Huxley mussten die Käufer allerdings auch schon deutlich tiefer in die Tasche greifen – das bisher höchste Auktionsergebnis haben wir für die Arbeit Untitled No.5 beobachtet, die im Dezember 2007 für GBP 9.375,00 (€ 12.739,03) versteigert wurde.
